Sales Engineer

Lead the technical side of the sale

Full-time · United States

About the job

AlisQI is a Quality Management System for manufacturers. Our platform is powerful, and the technical conversation often decides the deal: the demo, the trial, and the integration and security questions a buyer needs answered before they can say yes.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to lead that technical conversation and to help our whole team get better at it.
You’ll be the trusted advisor in the room, pairing closely with our Account Executives and leadership across complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles that span quality, operations and IT functions.
You will run the demos and trials on our more complex deals, build and own the demo environments, walkthrough scripts, and answers that give our Account Executives and Customer Success Managers the confidence to handle the more straightforward ones themselves.
Over time, the work you create becomes something the whole team relies on, and something you can grow and lead.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both sides of the craft: the depth of a technical product, and the satisfaction of helping other people sell it well.

What you'll do

Lead the technical selling on our complex and enterprise deals, including demos, trials, and the technical and security questions that come with them.

Build the toolkit that makes this work repeatable and shareable: demo environments, solver walkthrough scripts, trial playbooks, and a living library of answers to the technical and security questions that come up most often.

Coach and enable our Account Executives and Customer Success Managers so they can confidently run their own initial demos and solver walkthroughs, with your support on the deals that need real technical depth.

Be a trusted technical partner to our buyers in quality and IT, translating a technical platform into a clear and credible business case.

Work alongside sales, product, and customer success across the customer journey, from the first technical conversation through to a smooth onboarding for our most important customers.

What success looks like in the role

You influence the win rate on deals that involve a technical evaluation.

You help our AEs and CSMs confidently run their own initial demos and walkthroughs, with your coaching.

You build and own a technical toolkit that the team uses and trusts, kept current as the product evolves.

You contribute to increase the number of technical deals the team can support well at the same time.

Your work results in smoother, faster trials and handoffs on technical deals.

Your feedback helps shaping the product roadmap.

About you

We think you'll do well in the role if a good deal of this feels familiar, but you don't have to tick every box to apply.

A strong technical understanding of a software platform, and genuine comfort working with technical buyers in quality and IT.
You’re not expected to be an engineer, but you can confidently demo enterprise SaaS, navigate integrations (SAP, ERP, BI Tools) and answer questions about APIs, security, and data handling, or know exactly where to go to get the right answer.

The ability to translate technical detail into a clear, commercial story that a busy operations leader can act on.

The drive to win by solving real problems, which result in loyal customers

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.

The organization and independence to build a capability and keep improving it over time.

A track record of creating reusable materials and processes that help a team work better, alongside doing the hands-on work yourself.

Nice to have

  • Experience in quality, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.

  • Experience setting up a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions capability.

What you can expect

  • A compensation of up to $140,000 base + variable (OTE circa $170,000-$185,000), with real recognition for impact and outcomes.

  • A remote-first, international culture with real flexibility in how you organize your work.

  • The mandate and the trust to shape how we sell technically, with the support of an experienced team.

  • Close collaboration with sales, product, and customer success leadership, and a real say in our go-to-market.

  • Room to experiment, the data to learn from, and colleagues who care about doing the work well.

  • A scale-up environment where your work directly shape how fast we grow.

  • A vibrant and welcoming company culture.
